EDUCATION & TRAINING
Dr. Verhotz received his undergraduate education from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, with a bachelor’s degree and distinguished major in Neuroscience. He earned his medical degree from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his orthopedic surgery training with residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Dr. Verhotz completed a prestigious fellowship in Joint Preservation, Resurfacing, and Replacement Surgery at the renowned Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. His training there included arthroplasty for complex hip and knee deformities, young adult hip preservation and replacement, partial knee replacement, robotic-assisted total knee and hip replacement, navigation-assisted total knee and hip replacement, anterior hip replacement, and complex revision knee and hip replacements. He has authored many publications, and has presented on the local, regional, and national level regarding various joint issues.
