Conor Murphy, M.D. came to Peachtree Orthopedics in January 2025. He is a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon with expertise in all types of foot & ankle care including sports medicine, tendon and ligament repair, arthroscopic surgery, total ankle replacement, correction of severe deformity, flatfoot surgery, bunion surgery, complex foot & ankle trauma, and minimally invasive surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

ABOUT DR. MURPHY

Originally from Tulsa, OK, Dr. Conor Murphy did his undergraduate studies in Human Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University where he was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at linebacker on football team, winning two Ivy League Championships. He attained his medical degree from Oklahoma University. During medical school, Dr. Murphy volunteered as a surgical assistant in Zambia, Africa and completed an orthopedic research fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery/Cornell University in New York.

Dr. Murphy completed his orthopedic training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. While completing his surgical training, he undertook a dedicated research year in the University of Pittsburgh Orthopedic Robotics Laboratory studying foot & ankle biomechanics and served as the editor of the Pittsburgh Orthopedic Journal.

Dr. Murphy completed his fellowship training in Foot & Ankle Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York which has been consistently named the #1 Orthopedic Hospital in the country. During his time, he learned cutting edge techniques in every aspect of foot and ankle care including sports medicine, tendon and ligament repair, arthroscopic surgery, total ankle replacement, correction of severe deformity, flatfoot surgery, bunion surgery, complex foot & ankle trauma, and minimally invasive surgery.

Prior to joining Peachtree Orthopedics, Dr. Murphy worked in Arlington, TX where he served as the head team physician for the XFL St. Louis Battlehawks football team and as an assistant team physician for the 2023 World Series Champions Texas Rangers Major League Baseball Club.

Dr. Murphy is the author of over 50 peer reviewed articles, abstracts, presentations, and book chapters involving orthopedics and is the recipient of multiple research grants for his work. His research has been presented at national and international conferences. Dr. Murphy’s goal is to provide the best medical possible using the latest techniques and current research available. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, working out, hiking, and spending time with his family.
