Marty Lauzon, PT, ATC
Education & Bio
A native of Beloeil, Quebec, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 1994. He is a certified athletic trainer and was certified as a specialist in sports physical therapy by the American Physical Therapy Association.
He brings over more than 27 years of experience working in professional and collegiate sports. Most recently, he served as the Director of High Performance for the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) over the past two seasons, where he was responsible for injury prevention, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and rehabilitation programs.
Prior to his time in the NHL, he spent two seasons (2021-2023) with the Atlanta Hawks (NBA) as the Director of Athletic Performance and Sports Medicine. His extensive NFL experience spans 21 years, beginning with the Cleveland Browns (1999–2009), followed by an 11-year tenure with the Atlanta Falcons (2010–2021). He initially joined the Falcons as Head Athletic Trainer/Physical Therapist (2010–2013) before being promoted to Director of Sports Medicine and Performance (2013–2021), where he oversaw all facets of player health and performance. During his time with the Falcons, the team won the NFC South Division three times, secured the NFC Championship in 2017, and advanced to Super Bowl LI..
He began his career at UCLA, serving as Director of Rehabilitation for the athletic department from 1997 to 1999. He also held the role of Director of Sports Rehabilitation at NovaCare-Northeastern Ohio in 2009.
In his free time, he enjoys working out, consulting with athletes, and spending quality time with family and friends.
