Education & Bio

Darius was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. He attended The University of South Alabama, and attained his B.S. in physical therapy in 2000. He has 22 years of experience in general ortho/sports. His specializations include Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedics (2016), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (2018), Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist (2018), Certified in Blood Flow Restriction (2019), and Performance Enhancement Specialist 2019.

He recently completed a prestigious sports medicine fellowship(Dec 2021-April 2022) with renowned Dr. Kevin Wilk through Champion Sports Medicine in Birmingham, AL. During that fellowship he was able to gain experience working with professional athletes in the MLB, NBA, and NFL.

Darius is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association(APTA). He tries to stay active in it through networking in the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy(AASPT). He is also a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association(NSCA).

Darius lives in Cartersville and enjoys spending time with his wife (Lindy) and his daughter (Morgan Kate).
