Hip and Knee Replacement
OVERVIEW
Kranti V. Peddada, M.D., joined Peachtree Orthopedics in 2024 after completing a fellowship in total joint arthroplasty from Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Peddada specializes in hip and knee replacement surgeries, including anterior total hip, partial knee, revision hip and knee, robotic hip and knee, and outpatient joint replacements. Dr. Peddada is passionate about partnering with his patients to create specialized plans to improve quality of life and mobility through surgical and non-surgical treatments. His research has focused on treatment of prosthetic joint infections and mathematical modeling of the hip-spine relationship to improve outcomes of total hip arthroplasty.
Dr. Peddada grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. He attended college at Washington University in St. Louis where he majored in Biomedical Engineering and helped develop a low-cost, 3-D printed, robotic prosthetic arm for children with upper extremity amputations. He graduated as valedictorian of the School of Engineering. He attended medical school at The Johns Hopkins University and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, a prestigious honor society recognizing students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and leadership. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Davis, a nationally renowned orthopedic trauma hospital. In his final year of residency, he was elected by his faculty and peers to serve as Chief Resident.
Dr. Peddada is an avid runner, hiker, and skier. He has completed several challenging hikes in the United States, including Mt. Whitney and Cactus to Clouds, and internationally in the Himalayas. Dr. Peddada and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
