Yva is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is licensed in the state of Georgia. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Spinal Injury Association.
Education & Training
Yva graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science and a minor in biology. For six years, she worked at Eastside Medical Center in the intensive care unit. She also worked at Northside Hospital for 10 years as a clinical supervisor on the orthopedic unit. In 2016, Yva graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Master’s degree in nursing (with a specialty in adult gerontology acute care). In 2020, Yva graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Doctorate of Nursing degree.
