Athletic trainers are certified clinicians who work under the direction of a physician. They complete formal education focused on orthopedics which consists of evidence-based practice, injury prevention and health promotion, orthopedic clinical exam and diagnosis, acute care of injury and illness, therapeutic interventions, psychosocial strategies, as well as healthcare administration.
Some of our staff athletic trainers have also completed additional training and certification to assist their surgeon in the operating room.
