Ashley E. Mehl, MD, MSc

OVERVIEW
Dr. Ashley Mehl, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine with Peachtree Orthopedics. She provides comprehensive care of athletes, active individuals and non-athletes of all ages with a special focus on the shoulder, hip and knee. Her interests include shoulder arthroplasty and arthroscopy, hip arthroscopy, knee arthroscopy, cartilage and ligament injuries, as well as fractures of the upper and lower extremity.
Dr. Mehl is a graduate of Columbia University where she was a four year member of the Women’s Lacrosse team. She received a masters in biomedical sciences at Tufts University prior to completing her medical degree at the University of Queensland. She subsequently completed her orthopedic surgery residency training at Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, GA prior to pursuing her sports medicine fellowship at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine where she received extensive training in open and arthroscopic treatment of the shoulder, knee and hip, as well as operative and non-operative management of high-level athletes. During her fellowship she served as an assistant team physician for USC athletics to include USC football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, volleyball, track, swimming, tennis, golf and water polo. She also assisted with athletic coverage for the Los Angeles Kings professional hockey team.
