Education & Bio

Gina graduated from The Medical College of Georgia in 2003 with a bachelor’s in science in OT (OTR/L). She practiced for 10 years in various settings before beginning her journey towards a post professional doctorate in advanced practice, OTD, from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions which was realized in 2017.

While in her doctoral program and working full time in an outpatient setting, Gina obtained her Certified Hand Therapy (CHT) specialty in 2014 as she always had a passion for rehabilitation of the upper extremity. A few conditions she exceeds in includes custom splints, wrist fractures, nerve impingements, osteoarthritis care, elbow tendinopathies, finger injuries and general upper body dysfunction. Gina’s goal in therapy is to accelerate her clients’ return to full function in meaningful activity without pain or limitation.

After 20 years of experience, Gina accepted a position as OT/CHT for Peachtree Orthopedics in East Cobb. Gina considers herself as a lifelong learner and partnered with a large corporation to create a yearlong CHT fellowship to prepare fellow therapists in 2014. Additional certifications include trigger point dry needling, kinesiotaping and clinical instruction. She enjoys yard work, cheering on her son in numerous sports, spending quality time with her husband, and loving on her doggie Penny Lane.
